Normandale House has become clearer and more purposeful about how our families, staff, volunteers and our friends in the greater Phillips’ neighborhood work together to bring about meaningful change:
Normandale House walks alongside families experiencing housing instability by providing a safe and affordable home, family support and encouragement on the journey towards a more stable future
For families experiencing housing instability, Normandale House creates affordable safe space and personal relationships for encouragement on the journey toward a more stable future
Desiree Emanuel, Program Manager of Normandale House
25 years ago, Normandale House was created as an outreach program of Normandale Lutheran Church in Edina, Minnesota. Representing a response to the gospel’s directive to share the love of Christ with all people.
It continues to operate as and independent organization under the aegis of the church and the values for which it stands.
We have good news to share that the opportunity to sell our current property to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church has opened the door for us to find a new location that will allow us to expand our capacity to house up to six families.
Normandale House is committed to safe and secure housing that supports families, neighbors and communities – porches, patios, playgrounds, yards, gardens and gatherings
Our staff, programs and infrastructure encourage growth & transition
We are committed to building strong communities
Our stakeholders – families, volunteers, donors, and partners are vital to our success
Our families and their children are ready for the journey
Strong leadership across the organization
Join Us today to support our families on a journey toward stable housing.
